Beer on wine, you’ll have a good time!
This imperial red ale has its dark red coloring from a variety of specialty malts.
Fitting its color, it was aged for six months in a freshly emptied red wine barrel. During that time, it absorbs a lot of the distinctive red wine flavors. This beer is as complex as it can get.
How does it taste?
Complex. Oak aroma and the earthy flavors of the red wine pair with a sweet malt base into a feast of flavors that leaves you speechless.
How do I drink it?
Out of a big glass, during a thunderstorm while contemplating world domination.
What’s in it?
Hops: Chinook
Malt: Pilsner, Cara50, Cara100, SpecialW®
ABV: 9%
What have we learned from this?
The best thing to do with a whole barrel of red wine, is emptying it out and refilling it with beer!
